2017 Toyota Highlander – What to Expect
Since its inception back in 2002, there has been 3 Toyota Highlanders and now we’re looking forward to seeing (and driving) the fourth edition: the 2017 Toyota Highlander. This luxury vehicle is known all around the world as a luxury SUV (sports utility vehicle) with incredible body strength. When it comes to design, luxury features and gas mileage, Toyota Highlander 2017 will probably have many improvements and modernization.
Engines in 2017 Toyota Highlander will most likely churn out almost same power as before, but they will probably be more efficient in terms of carbon emission and fuel consumption. Two engine variants are possible: 3 liters and 2.7 liters, both of them inter cooled and turbo charged. In terms of fuel economy, we can expect it to be less than 25 mpg for both engine variants. A six speed automatic transmission is possible in 2017 Toyota Highlander, while car dynamic might be controlled by intelligent systems like Anti Roll, Anti-lock Braking, Dynamic Torque Control, Traction Control and Control Unit.
A 5” touchscreen display with Bluetooth connectivity, voice navigation system, weather application and options to control the climate, HD radio and audio system control, as well as many other nice additional (or even essential features nowadays) will be provided. 2017 Toyota Highlander might feature driving assist with lane departure, rear view camera with projected path and parking assist included. Advanced airbag system, disk ventilation, pressure monitor and star safety systems are also improved safety features we’ll have in 2017 Toyota Highlander.
Although new Highlander won’t look much different compared to 2015 model, but the material used in construction of the other body frame will make the vehicle safer to drive in tough terrains. Wherever necessary, wood and leather finish options will be present. We don’t know the exact figure, but the global price of 2017 Toyota Highlander will be somewhere between $30,000 and $45,000.
