5 Best Car Movies on Netflix
It’s not very wrong to say that Netflix has missed several important movie alternatives in the last some years. Starting with the loss of Starz licenses of 2011 which was continued with the loss of major chunks of Universal, MGM and Warner Bros. back catalog, there is hardly any genre that is untouched. Unfortunately, it means lots of core must-see movies for car fanatics are not at present available for streaming on Netflix. However, there is good news that all is not over! You still can watch The Fast and The Furious movies with http://americanflix24.com! Here are just five of them.
1. Drive (2011)
With stars like Ryan Gosling, Bryan Cranston, Carey Mulligan and Christina Hendricks, Drive is a 2011 blockbuster. If you were in a doubt about Ryan Gosling before, the classic entry of director Nicolas Winding Refn in this car film pantheon will make you change your mind. The film is a proof that when there is no time for a common conversation like “character names”, only some drivers are simply called “The Driver”.
2. Senna (2010)
Ayrton Senna, Frank Williams, Alain Prost and Ron Dennis have been featured in this 2010 hit. Ayrton Senna remains the greatest Formula One driver till date. This amazing film has been directed by Asif Kapadia that salutes his racing career and paints the story of this incredibly talented driver totally via archival footage. No dry commentary exists in the film. What’s even more appealing is that even if you don’t care a bit about F1, the film will completely captivate you. Many men actually cry watching this fantastic movie.
3, Love the Beast (2009)
Eric Bana, Jay Leno and Jeremy Clarkson are starring this 2009 hit. Eric Bana is totally different from other actors; he is an absolute car fellow. This documentary has been directed by him and you will watch him design his dream Ford XB Falcon Coupe to compete in the tough Targa Tasmania. This is not just a film about only one car, but about the car culture!
4. Ronin (1998)
Ronin features Robert DeNiro, Natascha McElhone, Jean Reno, Sean Bean and Stellan Skarsgard, and is one of the last movies of director John Frankenheimer’s career. This is a wonderful heist film with one of the best car chasing action you might have ever seen in movies. The script, plot, cinematography, acting and cars – every aspect of this film is great.
5. Dust to Glory (2005)
Featuring Robby Gordon, Jimmy Vasser, Mario Andretti, James Garnet, Chad McQueen and Steve McQueen, this documentary is a story of the Baja 1000 pits racers and an extensive variety of machines opposite the paint-stripping, bone-smashing, suspension-crushing terrain of the Baja Peninsula in Mexico. It depicts the story that you can never experience unless you compete.
All in all, you need not worry! You have many fast and furious movies that you can watch on Netflix and enjoy them with your car fanatic friends.
